Wednesday Winners: A Wintry Edition

Hey!

We know that Wednesday Winners is a firm favourite amongst our readers so we hope that you like this week's Winter edition. As we have been reaching for the thermostat this week, we have also been seeking out our favourite winter must haves, for it seems that the cooler temps are here to stay!

Naomi's Picks:
So after announcing my love for the puffa jacket a couple of weeks ago I have received a string of abuse from my friends and family. One 'friend' informed me that purchasing a puffa would give him the right to call me Bianca Butcher (from EastEnders), now I don't watch EastEnders but I had a google and concluded that this is sad, but true - he would have every right to call me Biancs!  So with a heavy heart I have accepted and mourned the loss of the toasty sensation that could have been this Winter and carried on my search for a comfy but fashionable Winter coat.

For this week's Wednesday Winners I am presenting to you my top 5 (warning: no puffas allowed)

Reiss Lois Soft Blue Oversized Jacket £245
I love the style of this pea coat. The oversized cocoony look is a big trend this AW and it seems like it would be really cosy (almost as cosy as a puffa?!). 78% wool will definitely keep you toasty too! Pair this up with skinny jeans to contrast the size proportions. I also think the pale blue colour is an amazing pretty colour for Winter - step away from the glum grey/black/navy and brighten up your day with this coat! You must!

H&M Fake Fur Jacket £34.99
I love love love the colour of this fur. I would say that this jacket is more for aesthetics than functionality as I doubt there is much of a warmth factor to this!

Topshop Navy Bound Seam Duffle Coat £89
A duffle had to make it in to the top 5! A classic coat that is always good to have in the wardrobe. I love the checked lining of this Topshop one. Did you know that the name derives from a town called Duffle in Belgium, where the Duffle material originates? Yep this is true, also, Duffle bags were orginally made from this duffle material.

Whistles Jaime Animal Car Coat £295
You may have seen my tweet about this - I have been eyeing it up for a while. I have never heard of a car coat before, but I love it! I love the slouchyness and animal print is one of my favourite prints!

Monki Mella Jacket £60
This coat is all about the colour! A gorgeous blue that is bound to stand out in the gloomy-ness of Winter! The collarless feature and shape make this an elegant little number! Wrap up and stay warm!

P.S. Don't fancy a coat? What about a coatigan? That's right, coatigan.

Button Back Throw on Coatigan Throw on that coatigan and go...

Chelsea's Picks:

I feel I should apologise as I very much doubt I can throw in the casual historic fact as well as Bianca Naomi has but I do hope you like these wintry must have to accompany your coat!

1. Mulberry Jacquard Logo Scarf Pink Merino £120

I am probably not living in reality when I think £120 is good value for this scarf but it is MULBS!! My absolute fave! I can guarantee this will be the softest ever wool - there is nothing worse than an itchy scarf!! And it has pink on it. Perfection!

2. Marc by Marc Jacobs Logo Print Umbrella £55

Umbrellas are a bit of a nightmare as they just blow inside out or make it hard for you to walk or see where you're going etc but I have faith that this one will be pretty robust. And it's a nice bright colour to cheer up a rainy day. Did you know that umbrellas were invented in a town called Umbrella where it rains every day of the year?*

3. Topshop Chunky Zip Leather Gloves £24

I love a nice pair of leather gloves; warmth, grip and moisture protection! Enough said!

4. Miss Pom Pom cable headband at ASOS £18

I'm not really a fan of hats as they totes mess your hair up but I think the headband is a good alternative! I love cable knit and your ears are sure to stay cosy! This one is pretty understated so will look great with almost any coat!

5. Paul Smith Fairisle Socks £17

I love these socks! The fairisle print looks a bit like little bunny rabbits going round the edge which is super cute!

*I have definitely made this fact up in order to compete with Bianca Naomi (coincidently, Bianca was mine and Naomi's fave school teacher ;-))

So now you have no excuse to be cold this winter!

Love

Naomi and Chelsea x

Wednesday Winners

It's that time of the week again! Wednesday Winners!

Naomi's Picks:

Topshop Embossed Leather Bag £35
Last weekend I visited Knole Park in Sevenoaks and made friends with lots of little deer that live there, so when I saw this bag it reminded me of the deer, and obviously Christmas! I am getting excited about Christmas already, is this a worry? I like the distressed leather and of course, I love an across-the-body number for hands-free ease!

Topshop Bead Collar Sweat £38
I know it's sad that the colder weather is upon us, but I love throwing on a sweater and getting cosy! I like this sweater for its baggy comfort yet collar glam. Perfect.

Ted Baker PAYGE Oversized Flower Shirt £169
When I see items like this I wish that I worked in a fancy banking office and was required to dress super smartly for work. I would have nowhere to wear this shirt but I love the extravagant flower and the moody colours.

Fred Perry Fair Isle Crew Neck Sweater £95
I love Fred Perry's classic look. 100% lambswool will keep you toasty during winter! Basically you need this sweater. It will look good with anything.

H&M Skirt with Sequins £34.99
This skirt is really pretty. On the website it was paired with a light pink cable knit sweater and the contrasting materials looked really good together.

Let me know what you buy!

Chelsea's Picks:

This week I was spoilt for choice finding my winners and very nearly featured 5 Reiss dresses! I finally managed to narrow it down to one Reiss dress and a selection of other items - in fact, it's a bit of an outfit!

As I said, I nearly had 5 Reiss dresses as they have such a good selection at the moment. However, I settled on this one for the winners as I love the classic black with a twist - the sparkle thred that runs through it. The cut is a bit unusual too.

I love Fred Perry (think it's Kieran's fault as it seems to be his brand of the moment) and I love coats (again, Kieran's fault - I've never known a boy with such a collection of coats!) This classic mac is timeless and has a 60's feel - which I also love at the moment.

I always forget about accessories when shopping online so made an effort to check them out for the winners. I came across this plaited bracelet on ASOS. This shade of blue (royal? cobalt?) is my fave shade right now and I'm sure it'll add a bit of interest to any outfit.

We all know I love a wedge but since seeing the Zara colour block heels I've been debating my next shoe purchase. This pair from Office may just be the best of both worlds - a wedge with a colour heel! And in pink - my fave!

I can sometimes be a bag snob (serious Mulberry addiction) but saving for one bag a year means I can miss out on the high street bargains. I love this jewel print clutch and think it'll be the perfect bag to brighten up the Reiss dress.

So there we have another week of picks - what do you think?

Thursday Three-Way: New Knitwear

As we are now fully into Autumn (and it looks like the weather has finally realised it too) I thought I would do a three-way post on my new Next cardigan. I got this cardigan a couple of weeks ago and I love the little flick detail in the navy wool and the elbow.

I have pretty much been wearing this cardigan over most outfits the last couple of days as it's turned so cold but here I have narrowed down 3 looks you might like to try.

Geek Chic

Here I decided to embrace the elbow patches and go with the whole geek look. However, I made sure I kept it chic with high heels and a cute blouse.

Nothing says geek chic like socks and shoes. It's an acquired taste but I think these cute school style socks in cream go well with the brown ASOS wedges - plus they keep my feet warm!

Skinny Diesel jeans and the cute buttoned blouse from Topshop help take the look from geek overkill to more chic. The giant glasses (which are super strong prescription btw) complete the look!

Winter Warmer

I think this next outfit is perfect for a walk in the crisp Autumn air - maybe I'll wear it when I walk the dogs?

The flat boots were my buy of the year last winter - just £18 from Florence and Fred at Tesco. They are super comfy and look great over jeans or with opaque tights and a dress as shown here. As the nights draw in, it's probably best to wear a scarf too - this furry leopard one is super cosy!

Wooly work wear

With my final look I tried to make the cardigan a little more formal to create a look more suitable for work.

Pairing it with tailored trousers makes it seem more smart - as do the heeled court shoes. A Paul Smith t-shirt with a colour print stops the outfit looking too drab.

I could have gone on and on and bascially put this cardigan over every outfit! The other day at work, someone said they didn't even own a single cardigan - I just can't get over this!! Not one! For me, they are an essential for warmth and style!

Lots of love

Wednesday Winners

This week's Wednesday Winners nearly didn't turn up! Busy schedules and blogging technical difficulties stood in a our way but we persevered as we would never let you down!

Naomi's picks:

Topshop Aztec Padded Gilet £55
I saw this in Topshop on Saturday and it reminded me of Christmas and Alaska. I've never been to Alaska but I'm sure this would be a well needed wardrobe item.

Ted Baker Tingey Oversized Floral Printed Top £69
I  love this top. It has cute features including the floral lined neck and sleeves, a floral back and the tiny intricate petals on the shoulder. The petals remind me of Chelsea's amazing wedding dress - see the "About Us" section for a picture!

Lace Collared Playsuit £48
Lace - check, collar - check. I'm turning into Chelsea. The back impresses me the most - it reminds me of another friend's wedding dress!

H&M Jacket £34.99
I love sparkle and so this jacket obviously stood out to me. I will have to go to H&M to see this in real life to make sure it is not tack central! This is totally a Christmas dinner jacket. This is the second time I've mentioned Christmas. Crikes.

Topshop Embellished Cage Vest £36
I think this top calls for a tan! I like the 'cage' design and the smudged pattern.  It looks floaty - good for those dinner and drinks evenings!

Chelsea's Picks:

This week I've gone for a pretty ecclectic mix of items - hope you like!

1. Next Berry V Cut Peep Toe Shoe Boots (£35)

I have been on a quest to find a pair of black high heeled shoe boots to replace my beloved ASOS Tweedy ones that I wore into the ground before they were discontinued. Whilst browsing I came across these fro Next. I will continue the search for the perfect black shoe boot but in the meantime these ones, in the colour of the season, will keep me going. I love the deep V at the front and the peep-toe adds a bit of a dressy touch.

2. Ted Baker Paage Tapestry Print Short (£89)

I really love the print on these shorts. If you go to the website and zoom in you will see that the print is almost pixelated, a sort of cross-stitch effect (probably why they are called tapestry). Wear with black opaque tights to carry you through winter!

3. Mango Printed Photo T-Shirt (£14.99)

I really like the design on this t-shirt and can well imagine, as I have said, wearing it with some indigo skinny jeans and the Next shoe boots for a rock chick look. I like that it is sleeveless and for £14.99 it's a bargain too!

4. Monsoon Fusion Jaguar Animal Print Coat (£85)

There is ever such a feint tint of berry to this leopard, sorry, jaguar print coat. I think the darker print stops it looking tacky (always a danger with leopard print) and I love that it's double breasted - it makes it seem better quality somehow! I can imagine myself all cosied up in it, hands in pockets this winter.

5. Forever 21 Metallic Dots Swing Dress (£19.75)

This is a bit of a random edition to what has been a very Autumnul looking selection of picks. It's pastel, it's summery and has a shimmer effect thanks to the metallic dots. OK, so I probably wouldn't be able to wear it until next Summer but I may just decide to throw over H&M jacket from Naomi's picks and brace my legs for the cold as I head to a Christmas party!

So, we got there in the end! What are your Autumn/Winter/late Summer picks??

Love Naomi and Chelsea xx

Friday Focus: Alexa Chung

This week Friday Focus is focusing on one of Britain's hottest fashion icons - Alexa Chung. With the success of her collaboration with Madewell and news that she will soon be designing her own line (and she really does input into the designing) we thought she was more than qualified to feature on Friday Focus.

We first loved Alexa's style back in the days where she was taunting celebrities with her quick wit on Popworld. Her skinny jeans, checked shirts and pretty flats made her the epitomy of laidback chic.

As she's grown up, so has her style; she now channels a timeless look - girly yet tailored, hot yet cute and the perfect mix of high street and designer. Now when we think of Alexa, you can't help but think Mulberry, Chanel, ballet pumps and killer accessories. Alexa says she dresses for herself, and sometimes other girls, but never for guys. We think whoever she's dressing for - she's doing something right!

Here we take a look at some of our favourite Alexa looks and attempt to re-create them in a budget friendly way (apart from the Mulberry but you can hardly create an Alexa look without THE Alexa!)

Comfy and casual

One look Alexa carries off to a tee is the casual style. Short shorts or a short skirt can easily look dressy but Alexa manages to make the most of one her best features, her legs, without looking tarty by keeping the look simple with cute flats and a casual top.

You too can imitate Alexa's casual look by teaming a short skirt with ballet flats and a loose fitting t-shirt or shirt:

1. Loud Clothing Sonic Youth (Goo) T-shirt (£13)
For an authentic Alexa look, buy a boy's t-shirt and keep it loose with rolled up sleeves.

2. Oasis pleated faux leather mini skirt (£45)
I think this Oasis faux leather skirt is very Alexa - short and flaired!

3. Levi's Western Shirt (£80)
Worn buttoned up and tucked in or undone over a printed t-shirt, this classic denim shirt is so Alexa!

4. River Island Black Cage Toe Ballerina Pumps (£25)
Get the Chanel look for a fraction of the price with these pumps with a toe detail.

Red Carpet Glam

Whilst Alexa may be better known for her every day style, it doesn't mean that she doesn't know how to do all out glam on the red carpet - whilst staying true to her quirky style. Here are some of our favourite Alexa evening looks:

If you love the look of Alexa's red carpet dress, why not try to recreate it with one of these high street versions?

1. New Look Gold Lace Brocade Skater Dress (£27.99)
This gold dress combines Alexa's short fit and flare style with the golden glamour of her 2009 Bafta dress. Team with opaque tights, shoe boots and even a long sleeve t-shirt underneath for true Alexa style.

2. ASOS Nude Quilted Lock Across Body Bag (£16)
At just £16 this ASOS quilted bag is a bargain version of Alexa's Chanel favourite. Plus, nude goes with everything!

3. Topshop Textured Pleat Tunic (£26)
This coral skater dress is a more casual version of Alexa's red-carpet puff ball number. If you're creative, you could add your own neckline embellishments or just dress up with heels and some red lips!

4. Dune @ John Lewis Leather Accrington Monkstrap Shoe Boots (£85)
Style like Alexa and add a quirky touch to the red carpet glam by toughening up a pretty dress with these black shoe boots.

Out and About

My faviourite of Alexa's looks is when she is wrapped up for the British winter (or sometimes even Summer) in a stand out coat.

You can steal Alexa's street style here:

1. Johnstons @ ASOS Merino Wool Check Scarf (£39)
This colourful scarf is bound to brighten up a winter's day and we bet the merino wool is super soft too. Wear outside your coat to show it off.

2. Zara Trench Coat with Sleeve Detail (£69.99)
Alexa is known for her trenches and whilst her's may be Burberry, we think this Zara one is just as stylish and great value too.

3. Topshop MOTO grey supersoft skinny leigh jeans (£38.00)
It's not often you see Alexa in jeans but when you do, you can guarantee they'll be skinnies. We love Topshop's supersoft (and stetchy) range.

4. ASOS fur trim duffle coat (£75)
Channel your inner Paddington with this navy duffle coat from ASOS - if navy is not your thing it comes in three other colours too!

5. Mulberry Alexa in Oak Soft Buffalo (£795)
We couldn't very well cover Alexa's style without including the bag that was named in her honour! We are lusting after the Alexa in every colour - we better get saving!

So there you have it - style queen Alexa Chung's style well and truly stolen!

Lots of imitable love

Thursday Three-Way: These boots were made for walking

As you know I got some really cute Oasis ankle boots for my birthday on Tuesday so I thought I'd dedicate this post to showing you just how versatile they are. I also want to point out that despite last week's post confessing to my fake blonde locks, I have actually gone back to brunette after threatening it for ages! Hope you like the new look!

1. Birthday Dinner

This outfit mixes a pretty dress with casual boots giving the perfect smart casual look. I think it's ideal for a meal with friends when you don't want to be too dressed up but want to make an effort!

This dress is a vintage dress from Urban Outfitters renewal collection a little while ago. I love vintage as it means it's unique and this particular style is right up my street! I love the little cap sleeves and the print on the bottom half. The waist is elasticated (like I said, ideal dinner outfit) and has a little sparkle to it.

Adding opaque tights (I sometimes wear two pairs for blackest black) stops it looking too dressy - plus it's extra warmth as it get cooler. The blue Miu Miu shoulder bag completes the look.

2. Casual coffee

This next look is a pretty casual look so ideal for just running errends in the day, going for a coffee, taking a quick look around the shops. You could even walk the dog in it as the boots are so comfy!

Collar. Collar. Collar. I need to get that word out of my system. We try to bring variety at Who's that girl? but I have yet to beat this collar addiction! This cute sage green shirt from Topshop has a lovely vintage style floral print and buttons up the back. Add a pair of blue skinny jeans which sit nicely just inside the boots and a slouchy Mulberry Alexa and it's the perfect laidback look! My little dog Beau loved it so much she had to join in for a picture!

3. Band boots

I love going to see live bands and I often have to stand at crowded gigs. Whilst Naomi may moan (did you realise her name is 'I moan' backwards?!) about her 5'9" height, she doesn't realise what a benefit this would be at such a gig (she tends to avoid these kinds of gigs generally).

At 5'5" I need the extra benefit of a heel to see over the ridiculously tall person who insists on standing right in front of me. However, when you know you're going to be standing for a couple of hours, comfort is key. Therefore, these boots are ideal for such an occasion!

These black, skinny, Diesel 'Grupee' jeans are very rock 'n' roll with their distressed and paint spattered appearance (if one more person asks me if I've been decorating...)
I love the design on the McQ t-shirt - it's very Sergeant Pepper! The blue denim jacket - which I like to customise with button badges - prevents this becoming a double denim disaster by contrasting with the jeans.
Finally, you don't want to be carting around a huge bag at a crowed gig so this little Vivienne Westwood bag is just the right size for phone and keys and very granny chic!

As you can see, I am mad about these boots which are also available in tan. There are similar pairs available at Office too so I see a trend emerging! Now you've seen how versatile they are, can you really say no?!
Bootfulls of love,
Chelsea x

Thursday Three Way: Floral Trousers

Hey Guys

Since this Thursday Three Way is coming to you in what should be the height of the Great British Summer, I thought I'd keep things cheery with some bright and floral trousers courtesy of high street fave Topshop.

Now some of you might be thinking that stepping out donning a pair of floral trousers might be a little too daring and best left to fashionistas such as Oliva Palermo but Who's that girl? says GO FOR IT and I'm here to show you not one, not two but THREE ways to wear these versatile threads.

1. Office Offering

Dressing for the office can be tricky and I guess whether you feel you can wear floral trousers to work will depend on where you work (maybe move on now to outfits 2 and 3 if you're a police officer). I have a pretty relaxed dress code (what does 'smart casual' even mean?) and so feel floral trousers are an ideal way to break away from office grey.

As you can see, this smart Zara blazer keeps the look tailored and office fit. The Topshop shirt is still smart underneath if you want to take the blazer off and the simple Next court shoes are stylish but comfortable enough to wear for a whole day at work. The outfit it completed with an oversized bag in the shape of a classic Mulberry bayswater.

2. Party Pants

For a night out I usually opt for a dress or skirt or possibly even shorts but these floral trousers can also be dressed up for a more party feel - plus it totes saves on fake tanning my pale legs ;-)

A sure fire way to dress up any outfit is the two S's - sparkles and skyscrapers and that's exactly what I've gone for here. These ASOS coral heels have a hidden platform and are super high but pretty comfortable. The embellished top is another ASOS buy and I love the way the geometric pattern contrasts with the florals. Finally, I went for a colour clash and added a purple Miu Miu clutch.

3. Shopping Slacks

Finally, why not pull on a t-shirt and some comfy flats and hit the shops in your floral trousers? I love this Levi's denim jacket over the top of my Sonia by Sonia Rykiel t-shirt. I totes thought I was cool by buying an original Levi's in San Francisco but was very disappointed to see the Made In China label! Sort it out, Levi's!

I also added this colourful Mitzy tote from Mulburry - plenty of room for hiding extra purchases!

I'm not the only who likes to rock a floral pant - check out super stylish Olivia Palermo in hers...

If you love the idea of trying out some floral styles, then get yours here... and don't forget to send us a picture!

Wednesday Winners

It's Wednesday again already and that means another round of Wednesday Winners to share with you all. With all the A/W lines arriving in stores it's been a bit all over the place - much like the weather the stores can't seem to make up their minds whether it's summer or winter and so the picks this week are a mixture of both!

Chelsea's Picks:

Whilst I do think that American Apparal prices seemed to have soared over the last year, I couldn't help but be drawn to this skirt. I love the colour (but it wouldn't be a problem if I didn't since it's available in over 20 difference shades). I also love the length and the optional belt. I'd pair it with cute flats for a casual but cool daytime look.

I love costume jewellery - although this is pretty expensive for costume jewellery. The burgundy coloured jewels play up to my love of this season's hit colour and I really love the little bow effect. A matching bracelet is also available.

3. H&M cable knit jumper (£14.99)

Naomi actually sent me a link to this jumper as she knows I am obsessed with burgundy and I stole it for my picks! Sorry Nams! I really like cable knit too so this is ideal! If you're not as into burgundy as me, then fret not - it's also available in coral, navy, yellow, red and a light 'glitter' brown that I'm very tempted by!

I bought a new top from Topshop not long ago and it was soooo creased that I had to iron it right away. As soon as I touched it with the iron it frazzled (even though the iron was on low!) Anyway, Topshop wouldn't exchange it as they clearly thought my ironing was to blame (deffo not the case!) so I have been looking for some cute shorts to tuck the top into and hide the burn. So, in conclusion, these cute shorts would be ideal with the burnt top!

I honestly think I may be even more obsessed with collars than burgundy and I really love this collared dress. Flower detail, pleats and hi-low hem - music to my ears!

Last week, my husband noted I liked collars after reading the blog and bought me a cute collared shirt from Topshop. If he's reading now - go for the necklace ;-)

Naomi's Picks:

I love the lace and ombre effect to this dress along with the capped sleeves and cute little bow. Dress with some nude heels I recks!

I love everything about this top: the lace, the colour, the fishtail, the peplum, the sheer back and the price. I will definitely be purchasing this as a dress down or dress up little number!

I used to shrug Hobbs off as a 'mum's shop' but I love their NW3 range! This vintage cable knit cardigan in 'porridge' can be worn with jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts, leggings - basically anything. It is totes grandad chic!

I have been looking for a leather skirt, but when I saw these shorts I loved them. I like the high waist and vintage-renewal look. These will look good with chunky knitwear (i.e. the above cardigan) and some biker boots. PS delivery only £1 if you enter code 'shweet' at checkout!

5. H&M Collar £14.99
This collar took my breathe away! I absolutely love the pearls and diamantes. This could be worn with any top or dress to add instant cuteness - espesh the mink lace top and black/white lace dress in my picks!

Tuesday Shoesday: Sparkle Sparkle

Welcome to this week's edition of Tuesday Shoesday!

Before I begin I need to clarify a few points:
  • Firstly, I am 5'10 and you can count the number of heels I own with your very own fingers and nothing else.
  • Secondly, the heels I own are 2 inches or less (although a recent bridesmaid shoe took me to 3 inches - and let's just say I couldn't feel two of my toes for a week!
  • As a result of this 'height issue' I will predominantly be showcasing flats (The fellow 5'10ers rejoice and the 5'9ers or less think 'boooring').
Maybe I am boring? Maybe I need encouragement and reassurance that I won't look like a misplaced giraffe from Who's that girl?  readers!

So now let me begin - of course there is a story to tell!  Who's that girl?  loves a story!

This story involves fellow Who's that girl? girl Chelsea, who had come to London for a meeting - one of her fave activities (after shopping of course!)  But on this day Chelsea combined the two! She was in heaven... but it felt like hell: unfortunately Chelsea was dressed for winter on a warm sunny day in London.  Despite me sending her a picture of the blue skies, she was overcome with caution due to the torrential rain and grey skies that she woke up to in her hometown!

Anyway, of course this meant that Chelsea had to buy some new shoes to relieve her from the heat circulating under her leather knee length boots (NB this is not the first time Chelsea has had to buy some emergency shoes on a visit to London. Last time she wore 5 inch heels - totes inappropriate for a shopping trip in London! And not to mention the "emergency wedges" she shared last week. I think we are getting the gist of Chelsea's shoe addiction).

So we find ourselves in Topshop's shoe department and we simultaneously gasp with delight as we see the sparkliest shoes we have ever seen! We immediately try on and fall in love.

Million Glitter Ballet Pumps (£20)-  a name that captures their true essence, although let me assure you that these do not look like glitter has been poured onto a glue covered shoe leaving a trail of glitter everywhere you step.  Rather the glitter is interwoven within the fabric - have a zoom and you'll see for yourself!

Chelsea told me that the colour and sparkle thread was just like her Jimmy Choo wedding shoes (ask Chelsea how many wedding shoes she had!) and this quite frankly sealed the deal.  We were straight to the counter - a pair each, and we have never looked back.  In fact we have been doing some forward thinking and have decided to purchase another pair for when ours are worn to the ground from incessant wear!

If you love sparkle you need to welcome these eye-catching shoes into your life! And get two pairs whilst you're at it!

Lots of sparkly love,

Naomi

PS did I mention they were totes comfortable from the word go- a unique selling point in the shoe department I'm sure you'll agree!

Thursday Three-Way: Playsuit

This week’s Thursday Three-Way is based on an item of clothing I have a love/hate relationship with: the playsuit.

I love playsuits as they are a cute alternative to a summer dress, can be dressed up or down (as I will show), can be worn in summer or winter and have a slight retro vibe about them. I hate playsuits for one reason and one reason only – totes nightmare in the bathroom department. Especially, when you have to use a public toilet and basically take off all of your clothes just to go!

However, I am going to attempt to convince you (and myself) that the effort is worth it and that the playsuit is a versatile wardrobe essential.

The festival

With Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend, why not pack a playsuit in your rucksack? Obv, the toilet issue is 100 times worse at a festival but since it’s going to be bad anyway, you may as well go for it!

Here I have gone for the layered approach as the weather is so unpredictable at the moment. However, since festivals are almost guaranteed rain, my number one accessory is wellies – and what else would Who’s that girl? be wearing than Kate Moss’ fave Hunters? Worn with Paul Smith wellie socks, you’re guaranteed to keep your feet dry, warm and stylish (make sure you take extra socks as no-one is going to forgive you for stinking out a tent with 3 day old socks – even if they are Paul Smith!)

I've added a leather jacket to mix here as everyone else will be wearing a khaki parka so you have to stand out. Plus, it's waterproof!

The sparkly headband adds some much needed glamour to the festival look and the over the shoulder Marc Jacobs bag will keep your belongings safer and won't fall off in the crowds.

Sightseeing Chic

This playsuit is ideal for a day out and about visiting all the tourist hotspots. It's laidback and comfortable so ideal for wandering around in all day.

Obviously, flats are essential if you are going to be walking around a city. Here, I've chosen some comfy brogues that fit the geek chic look.

A big bag is a must for keeping all your souvenirs safe - this Mulberry Mitzy hobo can be worn across the body or on just one shoulder and is deep enough to keep plenty of snowglobes in (snowglobes happen to be my souvenir of choice!)

A light weight shirt adds some variety and makes sure you don't get a sunburnt neck and cool Ray-bans are a holiday essential.

Of course, you can't go sight seeing without a camera, this colourful Diana F+ vingtage camera completes this quirky outfit.

Playsuit Party

The playsuit isn't just for casual looks, it can be dressed up for a night out too.

A sequin embellished jacket keeps things glamourous, especially when teamed with these studded Topshop shoe boots. I love a shoe boot as an alternative to a high heel as I think it makes things slighty more edgy and less pretty.

The studs on the Mulberry clutch compliment the sparkly sequins and the boots, bringing everything together!
